Here’s the title sequence for the new series of Jackanory which looks like it will include my book (written by Geraldine McCaughrean) Fig’s Giant. You can see my illustration of Gulliver and some soldiers with boiled eggs.
Geraldine McCaughrean – new website August 30, 2006

The author of my first commissioned work, multi-award winning, Geraldine McCaughrean seems to have a new website.
Here’s what she says about Fig’s Giant:
“It’s Gulliver in Lilliput… but seen through the eyes of a Lilliputian child. A first picture book by JAGO – the newest, most talked-about talent on the art scene”
Pollution hits Neverland in Peter Pan, the Sequel August 30, 2006
It is a book that has been one of the best-kept secrets in theliterary world, its contents zealously guarded by legally bindingconfidentiality agreements. Those in the know were sworn to secrecy, while its eventual publication is due to attract much ceremony.

The Story
Fig is beachcombing one day when two brown towers rise up from the sand…so Fig begins her adventures with Gulliver, because the towers are the giant’s shoes…
Bridget’s Review
Based on the Lilliput adventure from Jonathan Swift’s Gulliver’s Travels, the story centres on Fig, a Lilliputian girl, who befriends and defends the giant, Gulliver. A delightful book… McCaughrean stays within the spirit and detail of Swift’s story, whilst adding the delightfully feisty small girl Fig, and her dog Tolgo.
